DESIGNED TO LAST A LIFETIME
Creating pieces that will stand the test of time requires an unwavering dedication to quality. Every IrelandsEye garment passes through 27 different sets of skilled, caring hands before it’s sent on to our customer.
"The whole ethos of the company is to produce garments that are durable and made to last a lifetime. The pieces are not throwaway."
- Maria Christina McPadden, Head Designer at IrelandsEye Knitwear. -
PROTECTING OUR SOURCE OF INSPIRATION
Nature is our biggest source of inspiration so we need to protect it at all costs.
"The environment is very important to me as a designer, not only is it where we get our materials from but it's also where we get inspiration from".
- Maria Christina McPadden, Head Designer at IrelandsEye Knitwear.
SELECTING OUR RAW MATERIALS
Every decision we make at IrelandsEye is carefully considered. When looking at raw materials from a quality and sustainability perspective, our choice of yarns is tremendously important.
We put a lot of time and research into selecting yarns that will be suitable for our customers - strong and durable, yet soft and comfortable, and equally sustainable for the environment.
We only use certified wools to ensure that the sheep are properly looked after and that the yarns that we use are 100% natural. This is particularly important to us, as natural wool is a biodegradable, renewable and regenerative material.

SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING
We specifically only produce small quantities of each design and knit all of our garments to shape, ensuring that we limit the amount of waste in the production of each garment.

SUSTAINABLE OPERATIONS
We do everything we can to make our processes are as energy efficient as possible to minimise our environmental impact and we're especially proud to have reached a point where we now have zero production waste.
