IrelandsEye Knitwear proudly offers the 'Blocks' Moss Stitch Blanket in collaboration with talented young Irish artist, Ellie Dunne.
The ‘Blocks’ Moss Stitch Blanket combines a bold graphic pattern with a gentle moss stitch. Ellie selected bold contrasting colours to create a modern, eye-catching piece. Ellie has selected Donegal yarn for this piece, which is an Irish-spun yarn made from 100% Merino wool. Known for its softness, it’s warm enough for winter, yet light enough to be used all year round. This design incorporates bold Roe blue, Brosna pink and Killala green with contrasting flecks in a variety of colours, which evoke the dynamic, abstract style of Ellie's work and is reminiscent of the grey and white stones, moss and seasonal heathers and berries that dot the Irish natural landscape.
We’re donating 10% of the proceeds from the sales of this blanket to a cause close to our hearts. The Together Academy is an educational and social enterprise that gives people with Down Syndrome the skills and confidence to thrive in the workplace.
